ATP is acronym of Adenosine Tri-Phosphate, and every living organism(animal, plant, microorganism, yeast, etc.) has ATP and uses ATP as energy source for life activities. ATP can be an indicator for the existence of living organism. Therefore, ATP quantity is proportionate to the quantity of pollutants including bacteria. Pollution can be prevented by measuring ATP for cleanliness inspection, checking the effect of cleaning or washing, and performing more cleaning or washing if it is insufficient.


  • Clean-Q is real time hygiene monitoring system. It checks ATP to find out the existence of germs. Traditional method is germ cultivation method. It gets samples and cultivates them for 48~72 hours. But it takes only 10 seconds with Clean-Q to check the contamination and amount of germs.
  • Other method is used to analyze the cause of an accident such as food poisoning after it happens. But our system can be used for preventive purpose.

What is ATP(Adenosine Tri-Phosphate)?

All living organisms have ATP and use it as energy source. That means by detecting ATP we know there is living organism. So rough number of germs can be calculated by the amount of ATP.

Product Parts

  • Measuring ATP needs both the scanner and the test kit. Test kit is used to get the sample for testing.
  • There are two types of test kits.
    - Q-trace Ultrasnap is used for testing the surface.
    - Q-trace Aquasnap is used for testing the liquid.
